“Who’s following you? I’m just going this way.” Yan Xi stared with her big eyes and said in anger.[ not reading this at Translateindo? it’s been stolen]

“This is the West Side.”  Shen Qinglan reminds her.

“Er.”  Yan Xi was speechless. She is going to the East Side.

“That… big sister, you can come with me.”  Yan Xi still wants to be with Shen Qinglan. She doesn’t know her, but she is very fond of Qinglan.

“No, we’re going in different directions.”[support the real translat0rs @ translateindo]

“Then where are you going? I’ll let my brother take you.”

Shen Qinglan lifted her foot and left. Footsteps were heard immediately behind her, and a little girl gasped slightly. She stopped again.

“We are really going to different directions.”

“I can let my brother give you a ride, really.” Yan Xi looked at Shen Qinglan persistently.

Shen Qinglan felt helpless. “Why are you following me?”

“Because I like you.” Yan Xi blurted out.

Shen Qinglan did not want to talk anymore. She never knew she could attract both men and women.

“Hey, elder sister, I’m serious. I really like you. You don’t want my brother to see you off? Tell me when you’re going back to Beijing. Let’s go back together.” Yan Xi followed up again. She could not say why she liked Shen Qinglan, but she liked her very much.

“I’m from Hangzhou. I just went to Beijing to play.” So we can’t go back together.[support the real translat0rs @ translateindo]

Shen Qinglan casually told a lie. Although she did not hate the little girl, she did not want to go with her. She wanted a quiet environment.

Yan Xi finally stopped this time, “Big Sister, you are not from Beijing?”  That’s unfortunate, there is still a trace of grievance in her eyes.

“Can I go now?”  Shen Qinglan asked.

Yan Xi nodded feebly. Just after Shen Qinglan took a few steps, Yan Xi’s voice suddenly came from behind, “Big Sister, can I find you to play in Hangzhou these days?”

Shen Qinglan ignored her and went straight away. He did not see Yan Xi’s eyes dim because she did not get Qinglan’s response.

Yan Xi slouched slowly towards the East Side.

“Xiao Xi, why don’t you even pay attention when walking?”  Just as Yan Xi was about to hit a pillar, a man’s voice came from her side.

Yan Xi looked up and saw her brother Yan Shengyu. The corner of her mouth smiled a little. “Brother.”

Yan Shengyu took her luggage and took his sister’s shoulder. “Were you too tired and listless after taking the train?”

Yan Xi did not respond. When she got to the car, she still did not speak, which was quite different from the usual chattering.

Yan Shengyu looked at her anxiously, touched her forehead, and found that the temperature was normal, slightly reassured. His sister was very weak and sick from childhood and almost didn’t survive when she was born. Therefore, the family always took great care of her.

“Xiao Xi, if you’re tired, go to sleep for a while and I’ll wake you up when we get to the place.”

Yanxi shook her head and looked at Yan Shengyu. “Brother, do you think I’m annoying?”

(TLNote: yes… yes I do… XD )[please read at translateind0]

“Why? You are the little princess of our family; how could someone dislike you?”

“Then why didn’t the elder sister want to go with me?” Yan Xi muttered her little mouth, grievances showed on her face.

“What big sister?” Yan Shengyu was confused by what she said.

“It’s a big sister I met on the train, sitting next to me, beautiful…” Yan Xi told the story of what happened between Shen Qinglan, it spilled out like grain into a bamboo shoot.

(竹筒倒豆子 / spilling grain into a bamboo shoot/cup = without restraint / making a hard-trickling sound without stopping. Think of it as an annoying ra-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta sound.)

“Brother, I’ve never liked a stranger so much, but I really like the smell of this sister.” Even using two ‘likes’ shows how much Yan Xi really likes Shen Qinglan in her heart, although this kind of ‘like’ came in a strange way.

Yan Shengyu did not think that his sister had some weird ideas about the big sister she said, but he was also a little curious about the ‘big sister’ who ignored his sister.

His sister knew for herself since she was young and weak, she spent most of her childhood in a hospital with few friends. Later she got better and began to go to school. However, Yan Xi was arrogant and did not like those who played with her because of her status. Therefore, even though she was cheerful in appearance and naggy, she was actually very lonely at heart.

Yan Shengyu touched her sister’s head. “Maybe someone really has something on, and it’s inconvenient for her to come with us. Besides, she said that she is from Hangzhou and doesn’t live in the capital. We’re going to Beijing in a few days and it is unlikely that we will meet again.”[translateindo.C0m does not post chapters any where else]

Although that’s what he said, Yan Xi’s mood didn’t recover. Yan Shengyu tried every means to make her happy, but he failed to see even half of her smile.

He would like to help Yan Xi find this ‘big sister’, but after all, this is not Nancheng. Their family has no foundation here. This time he came to attend a friend’s wedding. More importantly, Yan Xi doesn’t even know the surname. He could only ask his friend to look around a bit.

  1. wish they’d somehow become friends lol. Yan Xi is unexpectedly cute. Was annoyed at her at first when she was offering to pay for QinLan’s seat. Reminded me not to easily judge

    1. I felt the same way. Wanted to reach through the screen and give her a shake when she commented “money can solve anything.” But then I realized she is really lonely and inexperienced. But even if she has my sympathy I would have not let her tag along with me either. She’s needy and clingy. After a while it would ware on my nerves big time.
